How to replace the thermocouples of the glass tempering furnace?

1. Material preparation

Before replacing the lower thermocouple of the glass tempering furnace, the following tools and materials need to be prepared:

1.1. Wrench

1.6. Thermocouple instruction manual

2. Remove the old damaged thermocouple(s)

2.1. First, turn off the power of the glass tempering furnace, remove the upper cover of the glass tempering furnace, and locate the thermocouple position.

2.2. Use a hex wrench to remove the thermocouple fixing screw. If the screw is very tight, some lubricating oil can be used.

2.4. Use an electrician to cut the cable connecting the thermocouple, being careful not to cut other parts of the cable.

3. Install new thermocouple(s)

3.1. Check if the new thermocouple model is the same as the original one according to the thermocouple manual, and determine the specifications and installation position of the thermocouple.

3.2. Remove the new thermocouple from the attached protective sleeve and gently insert it into the tempering furnace, taking care not to damage the protective tube of the thermocouple.

3.3. When installing a new thermocouple, straighten the thermocouple element and carefully push it into the sleeve. When pushing in, try to grip the base of the element as much as possible to prevent it from bending. Insert its end into the corresponding temperature measurement hole on the wind plate inside the heating furnace;

3.4. Fix the thermocouple screws and use a hex wrench to tighten the screws, being careful not to break them.

3.5. Connect the cable to the new thermocouple and use an electrician's scissors to cut off the insulation of a single wire at both ends of the cable by 2-3cm, exposing the exposed wire.

3.6. Connect the wires according to the connection diagram in the thermocouple manual, ensuring that the connection is correct and error free.

3.7. Fix the cable connection and be careful not to twist or disconnect the connector when it is tightened.

3.8. Connect the wires of the tempering furnace thermocouple, ensuring that the connection position is consistent with the original installation position;

4. Test if the new thermocouple is working properly

4.1. Reinstall the upper cover of the glass tempering furnace, turn on the power supply of glass the tempering furnace, and ensure its normal operation.

4.2. Use a multimeter or thermometer to test the voltage or temperature output of the new thermocouple to ensure its normal operation.

4.3. Regularly inspect and maintain thermocouples according to their instructions to ensure their long-term normal operation.
