How To Temper The Different Type Glass
When using a tempering furnace to produce various types of glass, you should pay attention to the following five points:
1. When tempering glass with holes and grooves, the heating time should be increased by 2.5%-5% compared with glass without holes and grooves of the same specification.
2. When tempering glass with sharp corners, the sharp corners should face the rear of the direction in which the glass enters the furnace, and scrap glass should be placed around the sharp corners to prevent the corner glass from absorbing heat too quickly in the furnace and causing bending.
3. When tempering patterned glass, the glass is generally not placed flat to avoid damage to the surface of the ceramic roller; the heating time should be determined according to the thickest part of the patterned glass, and the tempering blowing pressure should also be based on Determine the thickest part of the patterned glass.
4. When tempering heat-absorbing glass, because of its strong heat-absorbing capacity, the heating time is generally reduced by 5% compared to the heating time of ordinary glass of the same specification.
5. When tempering coated glass and heat reflective glass, in order to protect the film surface of the glass, the coated surface of the glass should be placed upward when entering the furnace. The heating temperature and heating time of the lower part of the glass are 2.5%-10% higher than that of ordinary glass of the same specification.
