How to calculate the length of Kevlar Ropes required for the glass tempering furnace' rollers?

  1. Gap winding method:

      a. The diameter of the steel shaft x 3.14 x the number of turns of the aramid rope around a roller

      b. The number of turns of a roller kevlar rope = total length/the center distance of two turns of the kevlar rope.

      For example:  roller width 2440 mm, steel shaft diameter 48mm, total length 2650 mm, center distance 25 mm

      step 1: 2650/25=106 circles

      step 2: 0.048x3.14x106=15.97 meters

   2. Close winding method

      For example: roller width 2440mm, steel shaft diameter 85 mm, total length 2650 mm, kevlar rope width 12 mm.

      step 1: 2650/12=220.83 circles

      step 2: 0.085x3.14x220.83=58.94 meters
