The cleanliness of the glass tempering furnace has a certain impact on the quality of tempered glass, because during the production process, the glass tempering furnace inevitably encounters situations where the furnace temperature is high and the glass explodes in the tempering furnace. Some debris that cannot be cleaned in time may melt and stick to the ceramic rollers, which is sometimes the main reason for the occurrence of white spots in the produced tempered glass. So in order to improve product quality, it is necessary to regularly clean the furnace body and ceramic rollers.
1. How to clean the heating furnace in a glass tempering furnace
1.1. Methods for cleaning the heating furnace
Cleaning the heating furnace of the glass tempering furnace mainly refers to the cleaning of the ceramic rollers. First, use a scraper or emery cloth to remove the broken glass or other hard dirt melted on the ceramic rollers, and use a soft brush to clean the surface debris of the ceramic rollers. Polish the ceramic roller with fine alumina water sandpaper until the toilet surface is smooth, and use a vacuum cleaner to clean the surface dust. Then, wipe the surface with a damp cloth to keep the ceramic roller clean.
1.2. Steps to clean the heating furnace
1.2.1. Pre shutdown inspection: Before cleaning the heating furnace, the inside of the tempering furnace and the air grille should be inspected to ensure that there is no running glass inside the machine.
1.2.2. Stopping the furnace for cooling: After checking that there are no running glass raw materials in the machine, stop the tempering furnace, turn off the electric heating of the glass tempering furnace, open the furnace top and furnace body baffle, and let the tempering furnace naturally cool down. At this time, the furnace door is closed and the roller runs at low speed. When the temperature inside the furnace drops below 300 degrees, open the furnace door and gradually separate the furnace body with a spacing of 10-20mm, gradually completing the cooling process.
1.2.3. Lift the furnace body: When the furnace temperature drops to near room temperature, lift the furnace body, and the lifting height should not exceed five meters.
1.2.4. Cleaning the furnace top: Lay a layer of plastic cloth on the ceramic roller, and place wooden boards on both sides of the ceramic roller. Use a steel wire brush and scraper to clean the radiation plate on the furnace top. After cleaning, remove the plastic cloth to prevent debris from falling on the ceramic roller and increase the difficulty of cleaning the ceramic roller.
1.2.5. Cleaning ceramic rollers: Turn on the power supply of the ceramic roller drive and let it run. Use a scraper or 400 or 600 grit emery cloth to polish the ceramic roller, remove broken glass or other hard dirt, until the surface of the ceramic roller feels smooth.
1.2.6. Cleaning the radiation cover: Remove the template on the furnace and use compressed air to blow the radiation cover below the furnace roller to clean the floating dust on the radiation cover.
1.2.7. Wipe off floating dust: After using a vacuum cleaner to clean the dust on the surface of the ceramic roller, use a damp cloth soaked in water to wipe along the direction of the ceramic roller without dripping water, until there is no dirt on the wet cloth and no dust on the ceramic roller when touched by hand.
1.2.8. Restore equipment: After cleaning, lower the furnace body to restore its initial state.
1.3. Cleaning the heating furnace frequency
As a part of daily maintenance and upkeep, the cleaning frequency of the ceramic rollers in the glass tempering furnace is generally controlled within 30 days of continuous production or when serious roller damage or pitting is found in the production glass, the ceramic rollers in the furnace body should be cleaned; The ceramic rollers on the feeding table need to be cleaned daily to prevent dust from entering the tempered glass body and contaminating the ceramic rollers inside the furnace, thereby ensuring the quality of the tempered glass.
2. Precautions for cleaning fiberglass furnace protection
2.1. Ensure that the heating circuit breaker is disconnected and the heating furnace is powered off.
2.2. Ceramic rollers can be cleaned with distilled or purified water, but soap or any cleaning agent is prohibited for cleaning.
2.3. Ensure that all heating circuits and thermocouples are functioning properly.
2.4. The flatness of the surface of the furnace roller directly affects the flatness of the glass during tempering. Therefore, during the cleaning process of the heating furnace, hard objects should be avoided from colliding with the furnace roller, and excessive polishing should also be avoided during cleaning to avoid damaging the surface enamel.
2.5. Ensure that the safety pin is inserted into the pin mouth and lower the furnace body to a position of about 3mm above the safety pin.
6. When cleaning the heating furnace, pay attention to the temperature of the furnace. It is prohibited to clean the tempering furnace rollers above 50 degrees Celsius.
