What should be done when there are friction scratches on the glass surface during the processing of tempered glass in a tempering furnace and SO2 gas needs to be used?

1. The function of SO2 gas is to act on the surface of ceramic rollers, forming a protective film layer to ensure the smooth moving of glass on the roller conveyor.

2. During the tempering process, when there are slight scratches and friction on the glass, SO2 gas can be used. However, SO2 has a certain corrosive effect on the heating elements inside oven, so the usage should be limited.

3. When there are severe scratches and friction, production should be stop and the ceramic rollers inside the heating oven should be cleaned. At this time, do not use excessive SO2 gas.

4. After cleaning the heating oven, when machine reaches the required temperature for production, SO2 gas could be used to lubricate the ceramic rollers.

5. When using SO2 gas, it should generally be used for about 10-15 minutes, with a flow rate of 1-4 cm3 per minute. The maximum amount should not exceed 7 cm3 per minute and should be controlled at around 50Kpa.
