FAQ:

1.What is the temperature condition:

More than 1300℃ as working temperature

2 What is the service life of this ceramic fiber sleeve

The service life depends on the glass thickness, for thin glass, if the tempering furnace is single chamber, the service life is about 6-8 months; if the tempering furnace is continuous type, the service life could be 12 months; for thick glass, the service life is shorter. This sleeves is mainly used for producing automotive glass, 3.-4mm

3.How to install and attach-fixed?

When installation, you should put some glue onto the roller surface, then install the sleeves

4. What is the diameter of sleeve?

It depends on the ceramic roller diameter, we make the ceramic fiber sleeve according to the diameter of ceramic roller?

5. What is the price?

Pls provide us the sleeve diameter, so we can give you the price.

6. Delivery time:

For popular diameter, we have the stock, we can send them to you immediately, but for some non-standard diameter, we need about one week for production.

7. Shelf Life: We have a tempering furnace is single chamber.  How many hours a day is it based on 6-8 months when driving?   (The glass used in for automobiles. The thickness is 3.0~5.0mm)

12 hours per day, for 3-4mm, the service life is about 6-8 months, for 5mm, it is about 5 months.

8. Do you apply adhesive material on the entire ceramic roller and put sleeves on it, or do you apply adhesive material only on both ends of the ceramic roller?

Yes, we use adhesive material on the entire ceramic roller

9. When replacing with new sleeves, is it possible to remove easily due to adhesive material?

When the old sleeves is removed, it is easy to do, because the adhesive/glue is a kind of silicone grease. After burning, it becomes silicon dioxide. Use a razor blade to scrape off the old sleeve. After it comes down, just use sandpaper to polish off the glue on the surface. Use coarse sandpaper to wipe off the glue. This glue is easy to handle.

4. Instructions for using and installing ceramic fiber sleeves

4.1. Preparation work:

a. Tools: art knives, scissors, brush, measuring cup, marking pen, cloth, coarse sandpaper (160

Mesh and fine sandpaper (500 mesh), disposable gloves, and masks.

b. Auxiliary materials: single component silicone rubber (foreign brand 70428, abbreviated as rubber), xylene.

c. Suitable length woven sleeve. The ceramic fiber woven sleeve itself has shrinkage and needs to be lengthened proportionally when used Φ The required length of a 60mm woven sleeve is calculated based on a 70% shrinkage rate, and the ceramic roller set

If the length of the part is 1.5 meters, the length of the woven sleeve needs to be 1.5/70%=2.14 meters

4.2. Operating steps:

1) All operators should wear disposable gloves and masks.

2) Firstly, use an art knife to remove the worn woven sleeve on the surface of the ceramic roller. Use coarse sandpaper to polish and remove any residue on the ceramic roller, and use fine sandpaper to smooth the ceramic roller.

3) Mix the glue. Preparation ratio: 100g glue: (50-60) ml xylene. Suggest starting with 5

Mix 100g of adhesive with 300ml of xylene to prepare adhesive. Use a non-metallic stirring rod for stirring, stirring

Until the glue is completely dissolved in xylene.

4) Wipe the ceramic roller with a cloth dipped in a small amount of alcohol, and then wipe it clean with a dry cloth.

Use a marker to mark the position where the woven sleeve needs to be set.

5) Apply glue evenly with a brush in the marked area. It is recommended to apply glue in a reciprocating manner from one end to the other, and the amount of glue should not be too much. It is better to just cover the ceramic roller. After coating, you can tilt your gaze to observe the surface of the ceramic roller and check if there are any areas where adhesive has been missed.

6)  Tilt the ceramic roller upwards, with one operator pressing on one end and supporting the ceramic roller. Two operators cooperate to cover the woven sleeve onto the ceramic roller. During the set process, the woven sleeve cannot be pulled or pulled. You can only use your hand to push the woven sleeve to the appropriate position at the back, then gently unfold it from the middle to both ends, and then smooth the woven sleeve. If the woven sleeve sticks to the ceramic roller during the process of pushing, you can gently push the area next to it that is not stuck to separate the woven sleeve from the ceramic roller.

7) If there are loose ends at both ends, you can use a brush to dip in a small amount of glue to tighten both ends.

5. Precautions for using ceramic fiber sleeves

5.1. After the ceramic fiber sleeve is contaminated, crystallization will occur. Almost all metal alkaline substances will cause significant erosion on ceramic fiber sleeves. Among them, Na, K, and Li are the three alkali metal ions that have the greatest impact. To reduce pollution to the casing during operation and increase its service life. It is recommended to wear clean latex gloves during the operation process.

5.2. When installing ceramic fiber sleeves, a uniform and small amount of adhesive can achieve the optimal service life while meeting the bonding performance. Suggested glue ratio: 100g glue: (50-60) ml xylene. When the adhesive is mixed too thinly, the adhesive has poor adhesion and cannot firmly adhere to the casing. After being used in the furnace, the casing will quickly wear out and large pieces will fall off, greatly affecting its service life.

If the glue is not applied evenly enough, some areas are applied well, while others are applied less or without the glue. Areas with less or no glue application experience greater friction, and the sleeve in that area will quickly wear out and become fluffy. If the amount of glue applied is too much, it will affect the lifespan of the glue after it penetrates into the surface of the casing. In a high-temperature furnace, the areas where the adhesive on the surface of the casing penetrates are prone to crystallization and hardening, resulting in a loss of flexibility and rapid wear and fragmentation.

5.3. After fixing the ceramic fiber sleeve on the ceramic roller, it should be placed in an environment with low humidity (≤ 60%) for more than 12 hours or dried at low temperature, and then used in the furnace after the xylene has evaporated. When storing, try to avoid contamination of the casing.

5.4. Ceramic fiber sleeves can be used for a long time at 1050 ℃, however, intermittent use can significantly increase

Reduce the service life of the casing. This is mainly due to the thermal expansion coefficient and specific gravity of ceramic fiber carriers, as well as the crystallization products β- Square quartz is similar. So when continuously used at high temperatures, although the crystallization zone continues to expand, the volume change is not significant and can still be used satisfactorily. When the crystallization product cools to 275 ℃, the ceramic fibers move towards β- Quartz transforms and undergoes volume fusion, resulting in product failure.

Therefore, intermittent use should be avoided as much as possible. If it is stopped midway, it should be kept insulated above 300 ℃.

5.5Suggested storage method for ceramic fiber sleeves: sealed storage in plastic bags; The storage environment should have a humidity of ≤ 60% and a temperature of ≤ 30 ℃, avoiding sunlight or ultraviolet radiation.
